The Queen Sofia Foundation’s Annual Accounts for 2018 were voluntarily audited on 23 May 2019 by an independent auditor (Deloitte) who stated that they present, in every significant aspect, an accurate picture of the Foundation’s equity and financial situation as of 31 December 2018, as well as its results for the financial year ending on that date.

Below are the main points of the Annual Accounts audited and approved by the Board of Trustees of the Queen Sofia Foundation:

The Queen Sofia Foundation’s Equity reached the sum of 9,6 million Euros on 31 December 2018. The Foundation’s income derives from Donations and legacies (1.706.000 Euros), and its financial income & rentals (367.000 Euros).

The total cost of the Foundation’s charity activities in 2018 was 735.000 Euros, of which 483.000 Euros were allocated to projects on research and awareness of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, 149.000 Euros to social projects to help vulnerable groups, 48.000 Euros to environmental projects, 20.000 Euros to educational projects, and 35.000 Euros not attributed to activities (audit, bank charges and other services).

These projects were jointly developed with the following organizations: Fundación CIEN, Federación Española de Bancos de Alimentos FESBAL, Cruz Roja Española, Cáritas Española, FAD, Fundación Colores de Calcuta, Manos Unidas, Fundación Promoción Social, Ecoembes, Fundación IAR Indonesia, Fundación ANAA, Cottolengos y Comunidad de Madrid.
