The Queen Sofia Foundation’s Annual Accounts for 2019 were voluntarily audited on 20 May 2020 by an independent auditor (Deloitte) who stated that they present, in every significant aspect, an accurate picture of the Foundation’s equity and financial situation as of 31 December 2019, as well as its results for the financial year ending on that date.

Below are the main points of the Annual Accounts audited and approved by the Board of Trustees of the Queen Sofia Foundation:

The Queen Sofia Foundation’s Equity reached the sum of 9,3 million Euros on 31 December 2019. The Foundation’s income derives from Donations and legacies (476.688 Euros), and its financial income & rentals (186.201 Euros).

The total cost of the Foundation’s charity activities in 2019 was 993.674 Euros, of which 516.279 Euros were allocated to projects on research and awareness of Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, 163.214 Euros to social projects to help vulnerable groups, 269.705 Euros to environmental projects, 12.434 Euros to educational projects, and 32.042 Euros not attributed to activities (audit, bank charges and other services).

These projects were jointly developed with the following organizations: Fundación CIEN, Federación Española de Bancos de Alimentos FESBAL, Fundación Banco de Alimentos de Madrid, Cruz Roja Española, Cáritas Española, Manos Unidas, Confederación Autismo España, Aldeas Infantiles, Mundo en Armonía, Sra. Rushmore, ECOEMBES, AIDE, ANAA, Fundación IAR Indonesia, Fundación AFE, Fundación Deloitte, Fundación LALIGA, Fundación Loro Parque, Fundación Mapfre, Fundación Palma Aquarium, Fundación Parques Reunidos, ACADE, ALSA, ATRESMEDIA, BALEARIA, FECE, FORTA, IBERIA, MEDIASET, Metro Madrid, RTVE, TRANSMEDITERRÁNEA, Cottolengos and Comunidad de Madrid.
