Madrid City Council:

Has allocated to the Queen Sofia Foundation a 18.500 m² site in Vallecas for the building of the Sociosanitary Complex.

Madrid Autonomous Regional Government:

Will take charge of the management of the Complex once it is built, as it is responsible by law for the health care of the Madrid Autonomous Region.

Ministry of Health:

Will define the structure of the Research Centre, as well as its future staff according to medical and technical guidelines to be decided later. .

Ministry of Work and Social Affairs:

Will collaborate with the Ministry of Health in the above task and will establish practical care rules concerning equipment and staff.

Queen Sofia Foundation:

Will direct and coordinate the performances of all participants in the Project. Will manage the Project’s financing and will allocate all its funds to it.

La Fundación Reina Sofía “Amotinado Mayor” de las Fiestas del Motín de Aranjuez

La Fundación Reina Sofía ha sido reconocida por el Ayuntamiento de Aranjuez el 15 de julio de 2026 con el título honorífico de Amotinado Mayor de las Fiestas del Motín 2026. Este título honorífico se destina a personas o entidades públicas que hayan destacado por la defensa de las libertades democráticas o por su labor en apoyo de los más desfavorecidos, a través de acciones en las que impere la solidaridad, la cooperación y la justicia social.
